On 12 June 2025, in Almaty, the Institute of Expert Legal Research ZanSar held a roundtable on the topic: ‘Legal experts in international arbitration and foreign court’, which was attended by leading Kazakhstani legal scholars and lawyers. Furthermore, the roundtable was attended by legal practitioners experienced in providing opinions on the law of Kazakhstan in international arbitration and foreign courts. The meeting was chaired by A.T. Kenzhebayeva, the author of the idea to create an organization to unite experts.

The key points of the roundtable discussion included the requirements for a legal expert, issues related to conflicts of interest, the intricacies of expert report preparation, and the cross-examination of an expert. Additionally, the participants examined the prospects for developing the institute of legal experts in Kazakhstan.

Ilya Kirichenko and Yelena Dvoretskaya-Yussupova, partners of Legit Advocates’ Bureau, participated in the roundtable, and Sergei Vataev, a partner of Legit Advocates’ Bureau and a member of the ZanSar Institute, was among the speakers, taking an active part in the exchange of opinions and ideas.
